As an island nation with one of the largest exclusive economic zones in Africa, Seychelles possesses significant untapped potential in maritime economic development. SSED provides the institutional coordination required to translate this potential into structured, investable programmes.

SSED's Role

Maritime Infrastructure Coordination

Coordinating the planning, investment structuring and delivery of port facilities, maritime logistics and ocean-resource infrastructure aligned with national development priorities.

Blue-Economy Programme Development

Developing investable programmes across fisheries, aquaculture, marine tourism, ocean energy and maritime services that support sustainable economic diversification.
