Focus Area 02

Renewable Energy and
Power Systems

Clean-energy development, power-system modernisation, storage infrastructure and long-term energy-transition planning.

Overview

Energy security is a fundamental requirement for national economic resilience. Seychelles' dependence on imported fossil fuels creates both cost volatility and supply-chain vulnerability that renewable-energy investment can address.

SSED's Role

Energy-Transition Coordination

Coordinating the evaluation, financing and implementation of renewable-energy projects across government, commercial and institutional environments.

Power-System Planning

Supporting the technical and institutional planning required to integrate renewable generation, storage and grid-management systems into a reliable national energy architecture.
